New series: Travel the alphabet

I’ve travelled enough to know that not every place needs a full guide - sometimes you just want to get the gist of a place. The feeling. The honest take you’d get from a friend who’s already been.

So, this is Travel the Alphabet: an A–Z series where each letter stands for a place I’ve travelled to, distilled into a quick, honest snapshot. No exhaustive itineraries. No “top 10 things to do.” Just what stood out, what worked, what didn’t and whether I’d go back. As if you had asked me whether a place was worth it, over a cup of tea!

Each post is intentionally short and digestible. The first impressions I got from a place, the standout moments, and the kind of context that helps you decide whether a place belongs on your list. Some letters will be cities, some countries, some unexpected stops along the way. Not every destination will be a favourite but every one would have earned its letter.

And we might re-visit a letter or two if the place really deserves it!
