Nine Years, Many Trips & One Very Square Planet
Almost nine years ago, I pressed “publish” on a little blog called A Square Planet. And while it’s not quite our 10th birthday yet, it still felt like the right time for a small re-introduction.
So, here goes…
Welcome to A Square Planet — a little corner of the internet where I unapologetically talk about my travels and share stories from the countries I’ve visited, along with all the things that happened along the way. When I’m not travelling, I’m working full time, spending time with my family (which looks a little different nine years on…), and probably planning my next getaway — whether that’s a staycation, a city break, or a full-blown adventure.
Which brings me neatly to my family today…
In the summer of 2024, I GOT MARRIED!!! 🎉 Our family went from being a family of four (very square) to a family of five. I briefly questioned whether the blog name still worked — but I love it far too much to change it.

As we grew, so did our schedules, and travelling as all five of us became the ultimate challenge. These days, my husband Diego and I usually travel together. My parents go on their own adventures, my brother is quite the traveller too, and every now and then we all manage to take a trip together (it’s rare — but it happens!).

My parents may not be from the blogging generation, but don’t let that fool you — they read every post (especially the travel ones), particularly if my brother or I mention somewhere we’d like to visit. My brother, meanwhile, is a bit camera-shy.

So that mostly leaves Diego and me. We love the blog, and I’ve never been one to stay quiet about my travels — what I saw, what I did, what the weather was like… all of it. On this page, you’ll mostly see us, and you’ll definitely read plenty of my travel monologues about everything I get up to.

And together, we’ll keep sharing stories from a planet that is anything but square!
